6 min read

Type 1 diabetes: IHP + trained staff for insulin/BG/hypos, free food/drink any time, phone access (CGM apps), test before exams, extra time if hypo affects performance. JDRF and Diabetes UK have school packs.

Epilepsy: IHP with seizure type, rescue med protocol, 999 trigger; trained buccal midazolam staff; rest area; adapted PE (no climbing alone, swim watch); photosensitive screen breaks. See our Epilepsy section. Young Epilepsy charity offers free training.
